During this week you will visit three legendary cities - Los Angeles, Las Vegas and San Francisco, and witness the beauty of some of the world's unusual vistas.
Come to Los Angeles possibly early to explore Hollywood, Rodeo Drive and other hot spots around the city. In the first evening no group activities are planned. On the next morning visit a few famous neighbourhoods and landmarks on the drive out of town. Then witness some of the world's natural wonders in Joshua Tree National Park, home to numerous varieties of plants and animals brave to the climatic extremes. Explore the beauty of the desert by taking short hikes among the famous Joshua Trees. At Lake Havasu, cool off and enjoy the crystal clear water of the Colorado River. The next day, visit to the Grand Canyon National Park and discover the London Bridge, a piece of London in Lake Havasu City, en route. Once it was actual part of the capital of Great Britain, however, it was discovered it is sinking into the Thames, unable to handle increasing traffic demands. The founder of the Lake Havasu City won the old bridge with a 2.5 million dollars bid at the auction and spent another 7 million to move and to establish it. The official bridge ceremony was held on October 10, 1971. Take short hikes, enjoy a pizza dinner and stunning sunset in the Grand Canyon. The Canyon is 446 km long, 29 km wide and 1.83 km deep. Some of its parts are over 50 million years old therefore this is also a sort of travel in time. If you have pre booked the Grand Canyon Helicopter Ride, enjoy your 45-50 min ride over the canyon today.
Go ahead along the famous Route 66 and stop by the Snow Cap-Drive In, a wacky, off-beat burger joint. Come to Las Vegas and rent a limo to explore the city of lights with chic, or stroll on its streets as you stay in the hotel in the centre. Then visit the Death Valley - the hottest, driest and lowest point in the North America and come to the town of Bishop. It is one of "America's Coolest Mountain Towns" that sits directly in the canter of an incredible area of natural beauty. Enjoy secluded hot springs where star gazing is amazing. On the next morning marvel at the spectacular views of Yosemite National Park's magnificent peaks and granite domes as you enjoy one of most scenic drives in California: the Tioga Pass! Take short hikes to majestic waterfalls, clear lakes, beautiful meadows or walk amongst giant sequoias. With a keen eye, you may be lucky enough to spot black bears, deer or coyotes. In the final part of the tour arrive to one of the most iconic cities in the world - San Francisco. This is the second most densely populated city in America with wide possibilities of the nightlife, various events and shopping. Visit some of the popular sites on the drive into town and perhaps catch a glimpse of the stately Golden Gate Bridge. It is a marvel of engineering of the Spanish Art Deco of 1937 that was the longest suspended bridge in the world till 1964. Take an optional cable car ride over the steep hills, rent a bike to explore the city on wheels, or take an optional sunset sailing trip. Since there is only one evening planned in the city, we recommend booking accommodation for a couple more nights.
