This is a unique experience to find out about the real life in Amazon jungles village, as well as to learn something new.
Come to Quito and enjoy the free eventing resting after a flight and examining the city. Quito is the capital of Ecuador that is located at 2850 m above the sea level in a valley flanked by mountains. On a clear day you can see the scenery of snow-capped volcanoes form there. Stroll on the streets of the colonial town that is well preserved, visit to splendid cathedrals and churches, including La Compañía de Jésus Church decorated in approximately one and one-half tons of gold. In the final part it is planned to return to the city to have some extra time to explore the city.
From Quito, on the next day go to the jungles of Amazon to become your home for the next four days. Enjoy living in small village of Quichua people. Walk to a viewpoint after arrival and have a natural mud facemask treatment in the evening. On the next morning have a guided walk to a waterfall and return home for a cooking class to make some special jungle treat. Learn about medicinal plants on an afternoon jungle walk. Go to the AmaZOOnico Animal Rescue Centre in a car and a canoe ride in the morning. The AmaZOOnico Animal Rescue Centre is the home for many endangered animal species. Most of animals come from private persons or form the police. Many people buy animals out of pity or as a pet from illegal trades, sometimes people are simply not interested in them anymore or do not know or are not willing to take care of them, therefore many animals are already sick. Afterwards enjoy the free afternoon to relax in the jungle.
On the next morning visit to Cando Community School supported by G Adventures. Enjoy the soccer match against the students before learning to make jungle artisan crafts in the afternoon. Whitewater rafting is an option instead of the artisan crafts session. During your final evening in the jungle, experience the mystical shaman healing ceremony and the jungle marriage ceremony. The next morning enjoy a blowgun demonstration and partake in a contest to show what you have learned. Then travel back to Quito and enjoy one more night in the city.
