Explore the diversity of nature of Costa-Rica in jungle hikes, climb the slopes of volcano and enjoy the wind of the Pacific. During this tour you will experience various excursions and have free time for more options of additional tours or relaxation by the water.
The adventure will start in San José by transfer to Puerto Viejo de Talamanca for optional snorkel in the Caribbean or hike in Manzanillo National Wildlife Refuge. Then head to Tortuguero or "the Land of Turtles" in a boat ride for a wildlife spotting en route. Take an option to visit the seasonal nesting grounds of the green and leatherback turtles at night and travel the canals on a guided tour by day. Then have a guided nature trail walk through primary Sarapiquí Rainforest, swim in a pristine rive and experience the remoteness of an old hacienda at night. Find out and experience more on an optional horseback ride tour there. Enjoy a typical Costa Rican meal at a local family's house en route to La Fortuna and hike to the Arenal volcano. Activity options include rafting, waterfall rappelling and relaxing in local hot springs. Then have a barbeque dinner at a cloud forest ranch, take a guided tour of Santa Elena Cloud Forest Reserve in Monteverde and experience the charge of adrenaline when flying above the trees on a canopy zipline tour. You can have an option to visit Manuel Antonio National Park, to try mangrove kayaking or to enjoy a dolphin spotting sunset sail on the next day. Then experience the final evening with the group as you return to San José. We recommend you to visit the ruins of Ujarras, some of the city museums – the Gold Museum or the Insect Museum, where you can see great diversity of exotic bugs, for instance, while visiting the city.
