Quito is the capital of Ecuador that is located at 2850 m above the sea level in a valley flanked by mountains. On a clear day you can see the scenery of snow-capped volcanoes form there. Stroll on the streets of the colonial town that is well preserved, visit to splendid cathedrals and churches, including La Compañía de Jésus Church decorated in approximately one and one-half tons of gold. From Kito on the second day of the tour you will go to Tena and experience a full-day whitewater-rafting adventure on the Jatunyaku River. Then in Baños you can take an optional bike or canoe tour, go hiking to see spectacular waterfalls, as well as to explore the town. This is one of the favourite centres of active leisure for the both - tourists and local inhabitants.
During the next two days you will explore the Llangantes National Park that offers beautiful views to the Tunguragua Volcano or the "Throat of Fire" that restarted activity in 1999. Trek into the park through lush cloud forest and spend the night camping under the stars. After that return to Baños and we recommend to visits to the hot springs to rest the aching muscles in the evening. Enjoy a free morning in Baños and head to the town of Lasso near the base of Cotopaxi Volcano. There you will have a downhill biking on Cotopaxi Volcano on the next day. At first travel in a private van to the start of the descent at 4000 meters above the sea level and be ready for breathtaking descent. Then enjoy the picnic at the foot of the giant, return to Quito by the evening and stay overnight there.
