Enjoy the trip to Equator, during which you will visit the local families, attend the markets and ancient cities. You will learn the local life style and the cultural heritage, and discover beautiful and versatile nature in the jungle hikes.
The adventure will start in Quito, by where explore the city on your own and heading to Papallacta hot springs in the afternoon. Then travel into the Amazon jungle by bus and spend two nights with a local Quichua family in a small village. Go on with journey further into the Amazon and take a guided walks and canoe rides to learn about the natural history and to spot wildlife. Have an optional whitewater rafting excursion on the Napo River. Continue the tour by bus to Baños and chose of numerous outdoor optional activities available - like hiking, horseback riding and mountain biking, or soaking in the hot springs. Then have a bus to the colonial city of Cuenca. There you can have an optional day trips to Cajas National Park or to the Inca ruins of Ingapirca. Fly back to Quito and travel to Cayambe by bus. There you will spend night at a 400-year-old hacienda at the base of volcano and have an optional hike to the volcano's glacier. In the final part of the trip you will visit Otavalo and the famous handicrafts market. Return to Quito in the evening and spend one more night there.
