During this tour you will visit mighty temples and castles, hike to remote villages, learn about the dark history of Kanchanaburi and the Burma railway built by the war prisoners during the World War II, and meet the monks dressed in a saffron colour robes.
Arrive in Bangkok at any time and take a longboat tour of Bangkok's klongs and visit Wat Po temple on the second day. Then take an overnight train to Chiang Mai, visit Doi Suthep temple and have an option to take a cooking class or a bicycle tour. Trek through the hills of the north, staying in remote hill-tribe villages and eating locally prepared meals, and take an elephant ride through the jungle. Come back to Chiang Mai and take an overnight train to Ayuthaya – the old capital that is rich in historical sites. Spend the night in Kanchanaburi on a floating raft-house, visit the Bridge Over the Kwai River and Erawan National Park. Then return to the starting point of the tour - Bangkok.
